Blizzard’s recent Berserk-themed update for Diablo 4 has ignited significant backlash from the player community due to its steep pricing. The update introduces a range of new cosmetic items inspired by Kentaro Miura’s legendary manga Berserk, including class-specific armor sets for Barbarian, Rogue, and Necromancer, as well as a new pet and mount. However, the cost to acquire all these cosmetics is approximately $150, a figure that many players find excessive for purely aesthetic content Diablo 4 Items.

Each Berserk cosmetic set costs between 2,500 and 2,800 Platinum, Diablo 4’s premium currency, which translates to roughly $25 per item. To purchase the entire collection, players must buy 16,500 Platinum, but since bundles don’t match this exact amount, they must overbuy to 18,500 Platinum, pushing the total cost to $150. This pricing is notably higher than the $70 Vessel of Hatred expansion, making it a hard sell for many fans.

The lack of bundles or discounts for purchasing multiple sets has exacerbated player frustration. On Reddit, users expressed that the price could buy several new games instead, and many questioned the value of spending so much on cosmetics that do not affect gameplay. The outrage highlights ongoing concerns about Blizzard’s monetization strategies, which have been contentious since Diablo 3’s controversial auction house era.

Despite the excitement surrounding the Berserk crossover, the high price tag has dampened enthusiasm, with many players opting to skip the update or buy only select items. The community also criticized the collaboration for lacking creative depth, as it mostly offers cosmetics without meaningful new content or gameplay inspired by Berserk’s rich narrative boost diablo 4.
